All of our manufacturers offer customization and logos for harnesses and lanyards. You must purchase the minimum quantity for logos, this varies by manufacturer. Fall Protection Safety Harnesses are personalized for each type of work activity. First you must know the type of hazard your protection against. It's always best to remove the hazard by eliminating the fall risk. This could be done by using guardrailing or restraint systems. If you must use fall protection there are different types of d-rings for difference risks.

1. Back D-Dorsal D-ring, this is used for fall arrest and rescue. This is the most commonly used d-ring on your harness and is always part of your fall protection safety harness.

2. Front D-ring, this is used only for ladder climing on temporarty or fixed ladder climbing systems.

3. Shoulder D-rings. these are used for confined space rescue in conjunction with a spreader bar and retrival system.

4. Hip D-rings, typically purchase with an integral tool belt and sometimes called a construction harness. This harness is desiged for work positioning when used with a work positioning lanyard or rebar chain assmebly .

There are several types of self retracting lifelines or devices available for fall protection.

1. The personal fall limiter is typically 11ft or less and is design to arrest your fall quickly. They can have interal or external shock absorbers and typically reduce your fall distance more than a standard shock absorbing lanyard.

2. Overhead long Self Retracting Lifelines, these devicesn are usually longer than 20 ft and are design to arrest your fall quickly. These can be mounted over head only, they are designed to quickly arrested your fall typically in less than 54 inches. They have an internal breaking system which reduces the fall forces absorbed by the worker.

3. Leading edge SRLs, these devices are used to protect a work who is working on a leading edge but has no option for overhead tie off. These devices are test to the CSA leading standard and typically have an external shock absorber and an larger diameter cable. When using a leading edge lanyard it's important to understand the estimated fall arresting distance of the system as it's typically longer than other devices.

4. Rescue Self Retracting Devices, typically used with a tripod or davit system. These devices have an additional feature to the overhead style SRL in which they have a personal winch system which can be engaged during the even of a fall. Once the retrival system is engaged the attendant can then raise or lower the fallen worker. This device can also be used to rescue a worker exposed to gas and other hazards when connect in a confined space.

5. Decent Devices, decent devices use a controlled decent system to allow a worker to escape a dangerous situation like a fire. Connected to a 5000lbs anchor the worker can step off the platform or tower crane and decent to safety below at a controlled speed. It's important to have a clear space below as the worker cannot stop the decent once started.
